Bridging The Gap: Insights on Community-Hospital Partnerships for Advancing Language Accessibility

 

In March 2025, CACF released Bridging the Gap: Insights on Community-Hospital Partnerships for Advancing Language Accessibility, a policy brief detailing how community-based organizations (CBOs) and both private and public hospitals can address the language accessibility barriers that prevent many New Yorkers from accessing health care services. As the brief details, CBOs are a trusted resource in New York City’s immigrant neighborhoods and strong partnerships between CBOs and hospitals lead to better care, particularly for patients who are limited English proficient (LEP).
